Friends, family, co-workers, representatives of McDonalds Restaurants of Canada gathered on May 2, at the 9th Avenue NE location to celebrate Shelly Dale's 50th year with the company.

She began her tenure with McDonalds in Moose Jaw back in 1974 and has been with the company ever since. Over the years she rose through the ranks into a management position. Since then, many things have changed within the corporation, with Dale noting that she has been with the company longer than Drive-Thru service has (the first Drive-Thru in Canada opened in Regina in 1977).

Those who arrived to mark the occasion surprised her with not just kind words of gratitude and support, but also with flowers and a cake congratulating her for reaching an impressive milestone in service.

During the celebration, she was presented with a cheque for $2,000 towards a vacation by Doug and Marilyn Dooley, owners of McDonald's Moose Jaw, in recognition of her commitment to the company.

Thank you, Shelly, for 50 years of service with McDonald's Moose Jaw!
