The first Household Hazardous Waste Day for Moose Jaw is happening this Saturday, April 20.

The day gives Moose Jaw residents an opportunity to safely dispose of hazardous materials in their homes, including liquid household cleaners, paint thinners, aerosol cans, batteries, and lightbulbs, which would be environmentally detrimental if thrown in with regular trash.

Items can be dropped off free of charge for disposal at the City Complex, 1010 High St West from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. this Saturday.

The second Household Hazardous Waste Day this year will be happening on Saturday, August 24.
