Things have slowed down for everyone here in Canada due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it's affecting all job from every part of the economy, this of course is the opposite of whats happening to those jobs that are considered "essential" healthcare workers, grocery store employees, farmers, and truck drivers.

Ty Taylor is a Truck Driver from right here in Moose Jaw, he gave some detail of what has been the biggest affect COVID-19 has had on the road.

"I've found it's becoming more and more difficult to find a meal on the road but also in saying that there are many businesses around Saskatchewan and Alberta that have been giving discounts or free delivery and things like that and have no problem delivering to your truck."

Taylor says he's taking extra measures to make sure he and others are safe.

"I try to avoid touching door handles and try to use gloves as much as I can and always sanitize everything. Just taking the extra two or three steps to make sure everything in and around my truck is clean to make sure not only myself but the people I live with also are safe."

Taylor added that both the company that he works for and the businesses he visits have all done their part in making sure everything is as sanitary as possible.
