Business excellence was on display at the Moose Jaw and District Chamber of Commerce MJBEX Awards on Wednesday night at the Moose Jaw Events Centre. 

The MJBEX Awards recognize the outstanding contributions of area businesses and business people to the community and to the economy. 

Keon Garden Centre picked up a pair of awards including the Service Excellence Award as well as a prestigious Business of the Year Award. 

Owner Marcy Duffey commented after winning the Business of the Year honours. 

“I'm absolutely stunned. With the amount of amazing businesses here tonight, I did not expect it at all,” she said. 

It was also an exciting night for us here at Golden West Radio and Homefield as we took home the Community Involvement Award. 

Account manager Camron Howe accepted the award on behalf of Golden West. 

“We are all involved in the City of Moose Jaw. To be acknowledged by the Chamber today, it was very humbling because we don’t do what we do every day to be acknowledged. We do it because that is what part of our job is,” Howe said. 

Taking home the other prestigious award of the evening was Aaron Ruston of Purposed Financial, winning the Business Leader of the Year Award.
