The Moose Jaw Giants took home the Ross Wells Men’s League Championship last night in thrilling fashion with a 6-3 victory over the Iron Pigs. With the score knotted at 3 heading into the top of the seventh inning, the Giants finally got to Michael Hunt. With runners at 2nd and 3rd, Brad Colibaba came through with a clutch single up the middle for what would be the difference maker. Adam Pasquet tacked on a couple of insurance runs after a long battle at the plate with another single up the gut. The pitching was on point for everyone all night, with Rj Durrell throwing 4 strong innings against the powerful Iron Pigs lineup. Kaedyn Banelevic came in and shut the door over the final three innings for the save.

In the Majors, the Toronto Blue Jays open up a three-game set tonight in Baltimore against the AL East-leading Orioles. The Jays are one game back of Seattle for the final wild-card spot in the American League.

In NFL pre-season action, the Washington Commanders edged the Baltimore Ravens 29-28.

Registration is now open for the Lynbrook Golf Club Labour Day Classic tournament taking place on September 4. The cost is $35 for members or $75 for non-members. Team registration deadline is September 1.
