A 29-year-old woman was arrested and faces several drug-related charges after the Moose Jaw Police Service executed a search warrant on Tuesday. 

Destiny Tarrant was arrested after a “lengthy” investigation by police and a search warrant was executed at a downtown establishment. 

According to police, various amounts of narcotics, drug paraphernalia, over $2,000 in cash and an expandable baton were seized. 

Tarrant faces charges including possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking, possession of morphine for the purpose of trafficking, possession of a prohibited weapon, and possession of property obtained by crime. 

She is also facing charged of flight from police and dangerous operation of a motor vehicle in relation to an incident on April 7. Police allege Tarrant fled them in a stolen vehicle. 

Inside the vehicle, police seized a gun and she is also facing several firearm-related charges. 

Tarrant made her first court appearance in Moose Jaw Police Court on Thursday. She will make her next court appearance on April 25.
