The Moose Jaw 18U AA Canucks had their bats going early as they cruised to a 15-4 win over the Regina White Sox Thursday night at Ross Wells Park.

Moose Jaw jumped out to a 12-0 lead after two innings of play. Regina would get on the scoreboard in the top of the fourth inning, but that's a close as they would get as the game was called after the fifth inning due to the mercy rule.

Nicholas Lougheed and Brayden Ursu had strong days at the plate. Ursu was three-for-four while driving in four runs. Lougheed was a perfect two-for-two and also had four RBIs.

Brendan Gerbrandt went all five innings on the mound for the Canuck. He only allowed five hits and struck out six.

Moose Jaw's final scheduled game is Friday night at 6 p.m. against the Lumsden Cubs. Moose Jaw will be the home team, but the game is being played in Lumsden.
