Even though there are no games in which to throw a stuffed animal or toy on the ice after a Warriors' goal, the Moose Jaw Warriors are once again doing their teddy bear and toy toss this year.

For the 2020 Murray GM Teddy Bear and Toy Toss, on Monday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., the Warriors' truck, along with vehicles from Murray GM, will be at the Mosaic Place Parking lot, for fans to drop off their new, unwrapped toys.

The Salvation Army is once again partnering with the Warriors for the event.

Cadet Lester Ward with the Moose Jaw Salvation Army said that this year the need is even greater than in the past. He said toys requested for all age groups up to age 14, with mitts, scarfs, and toques would also be greatly accepted.

"This event in the past has been a great support to the Salvation Army and the local community," said Ward in a media release.

People are being asked to place the toys in plastic bags before they put them into the vehicles. As well, individuals will be asked to comply with Saskatchewan Health Authority guidelines while at both locations.
