The Saskatchewan Roughriders are off to Vancouver to battle the BC Lions Sunday in the CFL West Final.

 

Rider Pride is alive and picking up steam as fans gets ready to cheer on the Saskatchewan Roughriders in Sunday's CFL West Final.

The Riders are in Vancouver to take on the BC Lions for the third time in four years.

The Riders were 1-2 against BC this season, with their only win being a 21-9 decision back on August 2nd in Vancouver.

The Riders will be without running back Wes Cates who's out with a stress fracture in his foot.  They may have Chris Szarka in the lineup, as he practiced this week for the first time since partially severing two of his fingers a couple of weeks ago.

The Riders and Lions kick off in the West Final Sunday afternoon at 3:30pm.

In other Rider news, Quarterback Kerry Joseph, kicker Luca Congi and receiver Andy Fantuz picked up weekly awards.

Joseph was named the leagues Offensive Player of the Week.  Joseph threw for 391 yards and one touchdown and ran for 109 yards last weekend in the West Semi-Final against Calgary.

Congi kicked six field goals in that win over Calgary, and was named Most Outstanding Special Teams Player.

Fantuz caught six passes for 127 yards in the win over Calgary and was selected as the Most Outstanding Canadian.  Fantuz won this award three times during the regular season.
