The National Hockey League regular season opens on Wednesday with four games on the schedule.

This season will see 11 former Moose Jaw Warriors open the 2015-16 season on NHL teams' opening night rosters, including four in action on opening night.

Morgan Rielly leads the Toronto Maple Leafs against Tomas Fleischmann and the Montreal Canadiens at 5:00pm.

Dylan McIlrath and the New York Rangers go up against the defending Stanley Cup champion Chicago Blackhawks at 6:00pm, while Deryk Engelland and the Calgary Flames host the Vancouver Canucks at 8:00pm.

The St. Louis Blue feature the most former Warriors with Kyle Brodziak, Troy Brouwer and Joel Edmundson all cracking the opening night roster. They will open their year by hosting first overall pick Connor McDavid and the Edmonton Oilers on Thursday.

Johnny Boychuk, Travis Hamonic and the New York Islanders will be on the ice for their season opener on Friday night when they host the Blackhawks at their new home, the Barclays Centre in Brooklyn.

Quinton Howden will open the season with the Florida Panthers, who kick-off the year on Saturday by hosting the Philadelphia Flyers.

Brooks Laich and the Washington Capitals also get their season underway on Saturday when they host the New Jersey Devils.  Former Warriors assistant coach Lane Lambert is also an assistant with the Caps for the second season.

There's also one former Moose Jaw General in the NHL this season as Ryan Murray suits up with the Columbus Blue Jackets.
