550 people were in contact with police during this most recent two-day blitz.

The Moose Jaw Police Service, RCMP and Combined Traffic Service Saskatchewan worked together to focus on speeding, seatbelt use, distracted driving, and commercial vehicle enforcement and impaired driving during a Selective Traffic Enforcement Program which saw various check stops in and outside of the notorious city.

“We’re thankful to have the extra resources in Moose Jaw...to look at some of those common offences like speeding, (and) distracted driving, and of course there are always people driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol that are always a concern for our community,” Sgt. Kevin Pilsworth said with the Moose Jaw Police Service.

202 summary ticket offenses were issued, 7 warrants and two cannabis charges were handed out during Thursday and Friday.

Officers thank the public for their cooperation during this project.
