The annual Salvation Army Toy Run kicks off September 17 at 2 pm, and all are welcome to participate.

Bikers will parade up Main Street in support of providing the less fortunate with new toys for the holiday season through the Salvation Army.

Moose Jaw Cycle Association President, Murray Roney, explained more about the cause.

“We know that at Christmas time there are a lot of people that need extra help, so we host the Toy Run in support of that. We have helped thousands of kids over the years, so we’re happy to be able to provide this experience again.”

A steak night fundraiser will also be returning this year at the Crushed Can with proceeds going towards the purchase of toques and mittens which will also be donated to the Salvation Army ahead of the Christmas season.

The event is taking place during the Little Chicago Show and Shine as well. Vehicle enthusiasts are invited to be a part of the cause, where they can enjoy both classic cars and Teddy-Bear-strapped motorcycles.

To place donations, please visit the Salvation Army Donations & Sorting Centre, or the Salvation Army Thrift Store.
