As part of a tradition that started long ago, Moose Jaw's French Community took to the streets making some noise in colourful clothing in a celebration called Tintamarre.

The parade Tuesday morning ended at the police station on Main Street with the raising of the Fransaskois flag.

According to the ACF Moose Jaw - Communauté Francophone Facebook page there were roughly 400 people in attendance such as members of the Moose Jaw Police Service, local dignitaries, students from the Holy Trinity and Prairie South School Divisions as well as students and staff from École Ducharme, families and supporters in the community.

According to bonjoursk.ca, there are nearly 700 people in Moose Jaw that recognize French as their first language, with over 1900 speaking French and English on a regular basis.
