Environment Canada says grab the extra jacket before climbing on the combine.

We should expect a cooler than normal fall in Saskatchewan.

Monday was the first day of autumn and Environment Canada Meteorologist Bob Cormier tells us what we can expect for October and November.

"Temperature expectations are a little bit below normal with the cooler stretches our numbering the warmer ones. Precipitation levels should be around the long term normal for October and November."

Cormier says there will be a warm stretch to start the month of October, with temperatures expected to reach the low to mid 20s.
