The Moose Jaw Midget AAA Warriors walked away from Swift Current with a 3-2 win over the Legionnaires.

The Moose Jaw Midget AAA Warriors took sole possession of third place in the SMAAAHL Tuesday night with a 3-2 win in Swift Current.

Swift Current opened the scoring just over the mid way mark of the first, but John Calkins would tie the game for Moose Jaw on a late power play.

The Warriors would take a 2-1 lead on Troy Gaspers's second period goal.  They'd take the lead mid way thru the third on a Mitch Dougall power play goal.  Swift Current would score with 23 seconds left in the game, but they wouldn't score the equalizer.

Jesse Ehnisz made 26 saves in the win.  Moose Jaw went 2/5 on the power play and 10/10 on the penalty kill.

The win moves the Warriors record to 9-3-2-1 good for 21 points, five back of Regina and Tisdale for top spot.  They've won three straight games and return to action Sunday with an afternoon game against the Battlefords at the Civic Center.
