After four hours and twenty minutes behind a closed door, Mayor Fraser Tolmie, Councillor Dawn Luhning and Councillor Chris Warren adjourned a special executive committee meeting Wednesday night by passing a motion to direct administration to prepare a report but without explaining what it's regarding.

Absent from the meeting were Councillors Brian Swanson, Crystal Froese and Scott McMann leading us to believe the meeting was regarding the investigation into personnel issues at Mosaic Place and Yara centre.

Officials declined to comment on what the meeting was about, what the motion directed administration to do or why it was kept confidential. Typically, when a motion is made during an executive committee meeting, information about the subject and what direction is to be taken is released publicly. A report is then generated by administration for consideration at the next regular meeting of council where the motion is ratified.

Nothing was made public and all information is being kept confidential until a September 24th meeting of council.
