Fire crews were pulled from their beds early Monday morning as they rushed to try and save an apartment on the corner of 1st SE and Home Street.

Another early morning fire in the City of Moose Jaw has done significant damage.

The call came in around 2:24am Monday and crews sprang into action to try and save an apartment on the corner of 1st SE and Home Street, across from the Snow Hut.

Commander Norm Hales says they had to set up a ladder and save three people from the second floor as soon as they arrived.

"Then we commenced with an aggressive offensive attack as we went in from two different spots. The fire started on an outside stairwell and then it made its entry into an apartment where the people were trapped."

Crews were able to save the building but there was significant damage. An investigation is underway.

This fire comes on the heels of an early morning fire on Friday that caused nearly $100,000 in damage to an unoccupied home on the 800 block of 5th NW.
