There's "The Boys of Summer" from Don Henley and "Echo Beach" from Martha and the Muffins - great songs that are all about this time of year.  It's a tough time of year for those of us who love summer.  It's difficult to say goodbye, especially for us Canadians.  Our summers are so short.

Autumn arrives tomorrow at 2:22 pm Saskie time.  It'll mark the start of the shortest season on the prairies.  Oh, it's 3 months on the calendar but we all know that history shows autumn in Saskatchewan can last for anywhere from 2 weeks to 2 months.

It's so much fun to get the lawn furniture and the garden tools out of storage and seemingly painful to pack it all up again.

We'll have to wear socks and long pants again.  I hate that.

But, over on the sunny side of the street, I think our Warriors are going to be fun to watch this year and the Old Farmer's Almanac is predicting a mild winter on the prairies.
