Three men accused of an armed robbery near Ardill will have bail verification reports done before their show cause hearing. 

Kevin Lacasse, Chaze Kober and Benjamin Knudson each appeared in Moose Jaw Provincial Court on Thursday. The bail verification report would online the availability of electronic monitoring, which would be a part of the defense’s release plan. 

All three men will return to Moose Jaw Provincial Court on July 10 for show cause (bail) hearings. 

Lacasse, Kober and Knudson were arrested in late June in connection to an armed robbery near Ardill. According to RCMP, an individual was threatened with a firearm, assaulted and robbed. 

Four firearms and ammunition were seized after a search warrant was executed at a residence in Ardill on June 27, with the assistance of the RCMP’s Critical Incident Response Unit. Two of the men were arrested at the residence and one man was arrested in Mossbank. 

Lacasse, 64, is facing charges including pointing a firearm, uttering threats, unauthorized possession of a firearm, carrying a weapon for a dangerous purpose, possession of a firearm in a motor vehicle, assault with a weapon and unsafe storage of a firearm. 

Kober, 24, was charged with assault with a weapon, use of a firearm in the commission of an offense, using a firearm in a careless manner, carrying a weapon for a dangerous purpose, pointing a firearm, possessing a firearm while prohibited and robbery with a firearm. 

Knudson, 40, was arrested on charges of assault with a weapon, robbery and unauthorized possession of a firearm as well as breaching a conditional sentence order.
