It seems like yesterday we were all together at Mosaic Place in Moose Jaw, celebrating the great game of curling at the 2020 Scotties Tournament of Hearts.

We had been hearing about the threat of the COVID-19 pandemic.I clearly remember seeing and hearing people coughing and sneezing in the arena and thinking about wearing a mask to protect myself.  I didn't.  I was concerned about being ridiculed by others.

Here we are, 9 months later, and masks are mandatory in Moose Jaw today.

Our health care professionals tell us wearing a mask will help protect ourselves and others from COVID.  I believe them.

This pandemic has taken from us.  Many have lost their jobs, some have lost their businesses and we've all been denied our way of life.  Countless concerts, festivals and sporting events have been cancelled in 2020.

You know, today, we should be kicking off Grey Cup week in Regina.  The CFL championship was scheduled for this coming Sunday.  Can you imagine the fun we could have been having?  COVID-19 took it all away.  Let's take it back.

Wear your mask, wash your hands and limit social interaction.  Please.
