The advance polls are closed and if voting numbers are any indication, more Canadians are engaged in federal politics this time around.

Elections Canada estimates 3.6 million Canadians voted during four days of advance polls and that is a 71% increase over advance polling in 2011.

You'll be interested to know, the latest Nanos tracking shows the Liberals in the lead with 36.1% support, the Conservatives at 29.3% with the NDP at 24.5%.

The Liberals have the most support in Ontario and Atlantic Canada, the NDP has the most support in Quebec while the Conservatives have the most support on the prairies and in British Columbia.

So, with 3.6 million Canadians having voted already, there are still 22.4 million Canadians eligible to vote on election day, Monday.  Monday night is when those votes will be counted and all the numbers will count.
