We got another reminder last week when wet snow and wind impacted thousands in Saskatchewan with a power outage.  It got us wondering how many of us are ready - prepared in case of an emergency.

A poll on DiscoverMooseJaw found about 54% say they are, in fact, prepared with an emergency kit.  About 39% admitted they are ot prepared while just over 7% say they don't have an emergency kit but plan on making one.

I'm not surprised to see more than half of our respondents are prepared because we've had a number of situations, just recently, when many of us have scrambled to stock up.  Most of us will never forget late winter 2020 when the COVID-19 pandemic shut us down.  Many of us turned into hoarders of toilet paper and canned food.  Local grocery stores had to put limits on how much we could buy.  That was scary.

You know, you can find some great information on what you should have in case of emergency situations on-line and you can even purchase complete kits these days.

I hope you're ready, I hope you have what you need and I'll remind you, severe summer weather season will soon be upon us.  Oh, and please remember your battery powered radio.  You do have one, right?
