The Saskatchewan Health Authority, in a prepared statement, told us  "It is being declared an outbreak as it involves multiple different households with transmission linked to a large gathering."

There were two large family gatherings earlier this month in Saskatoon.  We've learned they exceeded the mandated gathering limit of 10 people.  In fact, the SHA believes there were over 60 people involved and one has tested positive for COVID-19 with one other presumptive case.

This news comes on the heels of a new COVID-19 Coping Survey from Decision Partners out of Ontario.

It found many of us are concerned, angry and frightened by the fact people are "flocking to public and commercial spaces as pandemic restrictions are eased."

The survey finds we "continue to feel the least comfortable going places where the most vulnerable could be infected," and to environments where there are more people and we "have less control, such as public transit, air travel, events, restaurants the gyms.

The survey also found 71% of us believe current restrictions are appropriate, "emphasising that opening up must be done slowly and carefully."

That's encouraging to know 71% of us are concerned for each other.  But, it's the other 29% we all need to be concerned about.
