An old acquaintance of mine sparked some reaction on social media when he shared this;  "Shoutout to everyone who can still remember their childhood phone number but can't remember the password they created yesterday.  You are my people".

It's true, isn't it?  We've changed.  These days, most of us have cell phones with a list of contacts.  We look up their names and we touch the screen and that's how we make phone calls now.  We don't need to memorize the numbers so, we don't.  And, it's not just the millennials we're talking about here.

I've found most of the people who call in for the Evans Florist Birthday and Anniversary Show on CHAB don't know the telephone numbers of family and friends anymore.  You see, if they want to win the flowers, we need their digits.  Some put me on speaker phone while they look up the numbers and, those who don't know how to do that just hang up and call me back.  Most of these people fall into the baby boomer generation.

I'm going to guess that you, like me, can remember your childhood phone number and probably a number of others.  In fact, I can recite every one of the landline numbers I've ever had.  I think I'll call them all later and ask for me.
