Election day it is.  I thought it might be interesting to take a look at some of the numbers to consider.

Today's election will decide 338 seats in the House of Commons including 14 in Saskatchewan.   170 is the number of seats a party needs to form a majority government.

It's interesting to note, there are more than 27 million Canadians eligible to vote and close to 6 million have already cast ballots in advance polls.

76,106 is the population in the local Moose Jaw-Lake Centre-Lanigan riding with 56,621 people eligible to vote.  Voter turnout in 2019 was over 75%.  Conservative candidate Tom Lukiwski was the winner with 71% of the vote with the NDP's Talon Regent finishing 2nd with 17% of the vote.

Lukiwski documented almost $85,000 in campaign spending and finished first.  The Green Party's Gillian Walker spent $40 and finished last.

Five - that's how many people ran for the local seat in the House of Commons two years ago.  We have 6 candidates this time with the addition of a candidate for the Maverick Party.

And ONE.  One vote is what you get today, and you have until 7:30 this evening to make your mark.
