Grateful;  feeling or showing an appreciation of kindness;  thankful.

We Canadians have been taking some time to reflect as 2020 draws to a close and a new survey finds this COVID-19 pandemic is making many of us feel more grateful for what we have.

The poll from Leger and the Association of Canadian Studies found, when asked about the positives coming out of the pandemic, 56% of us said we're grateful.

It's interesting to note, about two-thirds of those aged 55 and over said we're feeling more grateful for what we have compared to less than 50% for those aged 35 and under.

We're also finding other positives, like saving money and paying off debt faster - more than one-third of respondents mentioned those accomplishments along with spending more quality time with their immediate families.

And, another thing we're grateful for is spending less time commuting.  About one-third of Canadians between ages 18 and 44 have been pleased to be working and/or studying from home during the pandemic.

Also, almost half of those asked say improving their mental health will be their New Year's resolution.
