They did tell us we'd have plenty of parking.  I don't remember anyone telling us we'd have to pay for parking but, we do.  And, apparently, there's still not sufficient parking space at our new Dr. F.H. Wigmore Regional Hospital in Moose Jaw.

Local people, including some our health care professionals, are parking out on Diefenbaker Drive, the new road that leads to the hospital.  We've now learned that is not allowed and violators will be ticketed.

Folks are fired up.  Some staff say there isn't enough parking for them and others are refusing to pay to park and some pointing out, we didn't have to pay for parking at the old Union Hospital.

Parking was and, for some still is, a major issue around Mosaic Place.  But, it seems to me, we all find a spot and make our way to the hockey games, curling and concerts.

I believe the parking situation at the new hospital will improve.  It has to.  And, if parking is our biggest problem, we're doing OK.

Oh, and by the way, for the record?  I think you and I are already paying enough for that new hospital and our quote / unquote "free" health care. We should not have to pay to park.
