I'm assuming we'll see more in-person learning at Sask Polytech in Moose Jaw this fall and that'll be good news for those with rental properties in that neighbourhood.  And you might see them try to make up for their losses during the pandemic.

The latest stats from Rental.ca show the average rent in Canada has increased for a 2nd straight month. They say, "as the country begins to open, tenant demand is expected to pick up, and further growth will continue for the rest of 2021", and we can "Expect even larger rent increases in 2022 when most COVID restrictions are lifted, offices are open, immigration is back to pre-pandemic levels and most classrooms are in session."

It's interesting to note, the average rent for a single-family home in Canada these days is $2553.00 per month - up 15%. Prices are much more reasonable in the local area with the average rent for a two-bedroom home at $1179.00 per month.

And while selection is still pretty good in Moose Jaw, the number of vacancies has gone down substantially in recent months.  There are just 62 properties for rent on Hello Goodbye on DiscoverMooseJaw.com today.
