He had the virus.  He's still under the weather.  A local Moose Jaw man is sharing his story on social media after COVID-19 knocked him down.

He's telling his friends and family he may have suffered some damage to his lungs.  He lost a lot of weight.  Everything he tried to eat or drink tasted bitter, even water.  He spent 10 days "just sleeping".  He says it was "the sickest" he has ever been.

He's sharing his story because he wants people to take the threat seriously, writing, "...wear a mask, wash your hands, do whatever you can to protect yourself and your loved ones".

He also invites questions and comments from friends and followers, and he got some, including a man who says, "Not sure what to think of the vaccine and was super apprehensive about it but taking my second shot tomorrow."

The local man replied,  "...never had the flu shot in my life, I'll be standing in line for vaccine when available, not going through this again."

Statistically speaking, he's now one of 26,693 Saskatchewanians to have contracted COVID and one of the 75% of Canadians who are "very or somewhat willing to receive" the vaccine.
