I've told you the story before - how, at one time, I was resistant to change.  I had worked with reel-to-reel and cassette tapes and electric typewriters at the radio station for 15 years.  It was at the turn of the century, that's right, the year 2000, we made the complete switch to computers, digital recorders and audio programs.  You can imagine, it was a challenging time for me.

I recall the frustration and the anxiety that came with the changes and the anger.  I frequently lost my temper.

Well, the worst case scenario I used to imagine happened this morning.  I somehow got locked out of my computers.  I was just about to start the CHAB Morning Show and had no access to my material.  I can't can't do my best work without my tools.

I was upset and got a little anxious but, with some help from my co-workers, I adapted and was able to overcome with a couple of back-up kind of solutions.  We found a way.

I didn't resist - I embraced the technology and made it work for me.

Oh, and what's more?  I didn't get angry.  Not at all.  So, I feel like, while technology progresses, I'm making progress too.
