What are you thankful for?

Thanksgiving was always a special kind of celebration when our family was growing up. We were thankful for each other and for what we had and our parents made it clear, we were lucky.

We had a nice house, clean clothing, nutritious food and we surrounded ourselves with good people.  We were lucky and that's what I reflect on and what I'm thankful for at Thanksgiving.  I'm thankful for the wonderful childhood I had and the values that were instilled.

I'm thankful for a job that gives me the opportunity to create and entertain.  I'm thankful for the wonderful lifestyle that most of us enjoy here in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, Canada.  I'm thankful my commute to and from work is about 8 minutes.  I'm thankful I'm living in a community that is big enough to serve my wants and needs but small enough that many of us can still go home for lunch.

Pass the turkey and gravy.  Happy Thanksving!
