We had $1000.00 on the board after one hour and finished the first day with almost $57,000.00 and we were on our way to meeting and exceeding our goal of $138,000.00.

The 16th Annual 800 CHAB Family First Radiothon was a success, to say the least.

We finished the 36 hour show with $159,914.00 in the bank, almost $22,000.00 more than we were striving for.

Your donations will be used to buy much-needed, new, state-of-the-art equipment for the Pediatrics and Women's Health Units at the local Dr. FH Wigmore Regional Hospital.

We received some wonderful gifts at the Radiothon, the most significant of which were $20,000.00 donations from CP and Gibson Energy but there was one that truly tugged at my heart strings.

A young boy, probably about 10 or 11 years old, walked up to our broadcast location and asked us what was going on.  He walked away and returned a few minutes later with a pocket full of change.  He dropped those coins into our receptacle.  The ladies accepting donations thanked him.  He smiled a proudly walked away.

I was live on the radio and wasn't able to get a word with him but, young man, I want you to know I saw you, I'm proud of you and I'll never forget that moment.
