It's Throwback Thursday - a look back during this, CHAB's 100th anniversary.

I've had the pleasure of introducing a number of musical acts during my time at CHAB, both at the newly named Moose Jaw Events Centre and the Mae Wilson Theatre.

Honeymoon Suite, Lighthouse, Bobby Curtola, Toque, Churko are among the artists I've had the pleasure of meeting, greeting and introducing.

Perhaps the most memorable was the night I went backstage to welcome The Association to the Moose Jaw Cultural Centre.

Their front man, the late Larry Ramos was most pleasant.  He told me the band would take the stage first, I would step to the microphone after they took their places and do my thing.

Ramos also asked me not to reference the name of the genre that some said they belonged to - "Sunshine Pop".  In fact, I was going to do just that.

I asked him, "Why not?"

He said, "Because I hate that."  And then, after an awkward moment, he smiled and said, "It's just music, man!"
