Producers are being reminded that you just can't toss it in the bin and forget about it until spring.

 

Now is the time of year when producers are checking to make sure their crops quality does not decrease.

 

Matthew Stanford, Agronomy Specialist with the Canola Council of Canada says canola yields were good overall.

 

"I think overall on a provincial wide basis the canola yields are a little bit above the long term averages... and most producers could make out pretty well if they avoided the hail."

 

Stanford adds when storing canola, it is best to be below 15 degrees Celsius and 8 percent moisture.
