Stirling Millar is our tenth City Council candidate

He was born and raised in Moose Jaw and he's our tenth candidate to announce his intentions to run for City council this fall. 33 year old Stirling Millar has just recently moved back to Moose Jaw with his family and he's making his first run at one of six seats at city hall.

Infrastructure, Economic development and sustainable growth are all important issues to Millar. "I would also like to see better ability for lower income families and that, to be able to work without using as much of their wage so they can actually get a good as opposed to just barely scrapping by."

Millar discussed his move with family before tossing his name in the hat for the council race saying he plans on being in Moose Jaw for a long time so he'd like to see it grow and be a good place to raise a family.

Millar joins a growing list of names that we will see on the election ballot this October. We also have Terry Gabel, Brenda Colenutt, Don Mitchell, Ira Dales, Jack Smith, Candis Kirkpatrick, Heather Eby, Kristian Sjoberg and Larissa Shasko running for council seats. Fraser Tolmie is still the only candidate for mayor.
