Moose Jaw City Council agrees to traffic islands in front of the Temple Gardens Mineral Spa and transfers the old Wild Animal Park Agreement.

As we prepare to elect a new City Council, the out going council has made its final decisions at City Hall.

Council has approved the transfer of the old Wild Animal Park Conservation Agreement to the local Wakamow Valley Authority.

In a story we brought you last week we learned Wakamow will now have legal control over how the forested area south of Moose Jaw is developed in the future. While no plans are in place right now, Wakamow has said they want to try and preserve the land as a nature area.

A new traffic island has been approved for the front of the Temple Gardens Mineral Spa here in Moose Jaw.

Council has approved the project as a way to prevent illegal parking in the crosswalks. The project might be completed this fall, but due to the limited time left in the construction season it may have to wait until spring.
