Canadian Western Agribition has a new, unique event. The Open Market Steer Show & Sale will be held Monday, November 22nd, as part of CWA's "Celebrating 40 Years of Excellence".
The Market Steer Show will be at 11:00am in the Canada Centre Arena; the top 12 steers will sell at a live auction later in the day.
"This event is unique to CWA as the top 12 steers will be sent for carcass evaluation," said Dr. Grant Royan, Chair of the Market Steer Committee.
"The results will be unveiled later in the week. A minimum of $15,000 in prize money will be awarded in three areas; live show, carcass and aggregate."
The entry deadline is October 15th, 2010. The "Celebrating 40 Years of Excellence" runs from November 22nd to 27th.
