A local man has been fined $400 after being charged when his dog attacked a local letter carrier back in April.

He's out $400.00 but his dog is safe at home, for now.

It was back in April when a local Canada Post letter carrier was attacked by a dog on Oxford Street East in Moose Jaw. Andra Arnyek had her right arm ripped up for 14 stitches.

The owner of the dog, Donald Wenman, was charged under the "Dangerous Dog Bylaw" and was convicted and fined $400.00.

What about the dog's fate? City Solicitor Steven Schiefner says City Hall has yet to decide whether to commence a "Dangerous Dog Hearing".
