The cabinet shuffle that came after the end of the Spring Session of the Provincial Legislature led to a big promotion for one MLA.  Dustin Duncan is taking over for Don McMorris as Health Minister after spending the past two years as Minister of Environment.

Duncan says he is honored that Premier Brad Wall has given him this new task, "It's a big file, a big portfolio, it's going to be a big challenge, but I'm looking forward to the challenge.  I'm really grateful to have the confidence of the Premier and I just hope that when my time as health minister is over that I've been able to do a job that shows his trust was well placed."

McMorris was the health minister for the past five years, before being moved to highways and infrastructure during the cabinet shuffle.  Duncan feels he has big shoes to fill, "Don McMorris did an incredible job, so I know I have big shoes to fill, but I'm really looking forward to it."

It will be a busy first few weeks for Duncan and it starts with getting to know the file and the people he works with.  Later this week he will be off to a meeting in Toronto for the provincial health ministers.
