Donations South Central Early Childhood

The South Central Early Childhood Intervention Program currently looks after about 35 children from Moose Jaw and surrounding area, and thanks to a helpful donation they'll be able to advance operations. The local organization received a $15,000 donation from the 800 CHAB Children's Fund.

Spokesperson, Nancy Rosnes says the money will be put to good use. They've had their eyes on one specific piece of a equipment for some time, a pony walker. "It helps children learn how to weight bare and keep their body in proper alignment."

"If they don't have that strength or coordination to hold their body in that walking position, this pony walker will allow them to be strapped into the upright walking position and will help them move their legs forward and it'll just teach them the walking pattern."

ECIP works with children from birth, through school age, that have developmental delays or disabilities.
