He's hoping to give Moose Jaw's younger demographic a voice on City Council.

34-year-old Kristian Sjoberg will be running for a seat on City Council during the municipal election on October 24th.  The SaskTel employee let friends and family know on Facebook a few months ago and is now ready to start his campaign.

Sjoberg says Moose Jaw is great for raising a family but he wants to make it better. "My wife and I both are born and raised in Moose Jaw. We left and realized there really wasn't a better place to grow up and live than here in Moose Jaw so we came back to raise a family and that's where we're at right now."

Sjoberg believes more needs to be done to try and draw back some of those residents who left after high school to pursue a career but are now raising their families.

The council candidate has some experience at City Hall, currently serving on the Environmental Committee as well as the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board. He says he would like to see more work done to make our city sustainable for future generations.
