Is she entitled?  Apparently, she is.  At least, she must think she is and no one's stopping her...yet.

A story in The National Post yesterday was published complete with a photo of her dressed up, smiling and sitting in a chair emblazoned with a golden crown.  She's not royalty, is she?

She is Adrienne Clarkson.  The former CBC reporter who would become Canada's Governor General in 1999.  She served in that capacity for six years.

One would expect that she's receiving a government pension.  She is.  What you might not know is what the National Post is sharing.

They've found Clarkson is "still billing Canadian taxpayers more than $100,000 a year in office expenses, and has now claimed more than $1.1 million in such expenses since...2005."

Oh, and her charitable organization, The Institute for Canadian Citizenship, has received close to $10 million over 10 years from our Canadian government.

She has a charitable organization.  Isn't that special.
