The City of Moose Jaw is looking for feedback from the community to help with the replacement of an existing playground.

They have launched a survey to understand the needs and wants of the community, as they are looking to replace the playground at 15th Avenue Northwest and Athabasca St. W.

The project aims to add an inclusive play structure, and complete upgrades to the current perimeter fencing, and the bench and picnic tables. There will also be considerations made to introduce components for children under 5 years old.

This replacement was included in the city’s Playground Renewal Program and the funding to upgrade the park was approved in the city’s 2023 Capital Budget.

The original play structure was installed in 1990 and was given a life expectancy of 25 years.

Those that want to take part in the survey can find it HERE. The link will remain live until Mar. 22.

Residents in the area of the playground will receive information and a QR Code to take the survey by mail as well. For inquiries, residents can call the Parks and Recreation Department at 306-694-4447 or email recreation@moosejaw.ca.
