The government of Saskatchewan has reported its lowest daily number of new COVID-19 cases in months, as only 80 new cases were reported across the province Tuesday.

5 deaths were also reported, with those located in the far northwest, north-central, Saskatoon, and southeast regions.

253 new recoveries were announced as well.

Of the new cases; 34 are in Saskatoon, 13 in the northwest, seven in the far northeast, seven in the north-central region, five in the far northwest, five in the central-east, four in Regina, two in the central-west, one in the northeast and one in the south-central zone. One new case is pending resident information.

2,026 cases are considered active and 206 people are in hospital with 180 receiving inpatient care and 26 in intensive care.
