Those looking for the flu shot in Moose Jaw had to take a number due to the shortage of vaccines

Even before their doors opened Friday morning at 9am, hundreds of people had lined up to try and get the flu vaccine before they ran out.  It didn't take half an hour before staff realized they wouldn't have enough to meet the demand.

Within minutes of the clinic opening, staff started to hand out numbers so they could get a better idea of just who would be able to get the shot and who would be turned away.  We're being told that people in line will likely get the shot and staff will keep you up to date, but anyone not at the clinic right now are being asked to wait until the next clinic that will be scheduled once the next shipment of vaccine arrives.

The local Health Region is in constant contact with Sask Health regarding the vaccine supply and we're expecting an update later today.
