The Moose Jaw and District Food Bank has not only reached their $100,000 dollar relocation goal but also exceeded it by another $18,000.

Due to ever-increasing demand, the food bank is looking to relocated to a larger facility. Jason Moore, the food bank's program development manager says that there are some specific features that they would like in a new space.

"We're looking for a building that is about five thousand square feet. Most of that would be warehouse space for storing our donations. We also want a location with an indoor lobby space as well so that we can hand out our hampers to clients inside and out of the cold."

So far, all of their offers have fallen through but Moore is still optimistic that they will find one before winter sets in. He notes that at least now, they have the resources necessary.

Throughout all of this, Moore says he's been overwhelmed with the community's generosity and willingness to bless those in need.

"I cannot believe how well this community has come together to support the food bank. We just get to see how Moose Jaw continues over and over and over to bless people that are in need. What a great community to call home."
