Moose Jaw's Kirk Morrison life revolves around concerts and events happening around the world.

In 2019, Morrison was part of a team in Regina that created the Krugo app. He now resides in Regina as the CEO and co-founder of Krugo.

Krugo allows users to search for concerts, sporting events and shows in over 5,000 different cities.

The app also partnered up with Booking.com to allow users to book condos, hotels and vacation homes.

However, when the COVID-19 pandemic hit, it also hit the travel industry pretty hard as well. That's when the Krugo team put together KrugoFest recently in Regina.

"Obviously there isn't a lot of travel going on, not a lot of eventing going on these days, so we took it upon ourselves to find a way that we could do an event in a way that makes sense given the current health orders," Morrison said.

The concert brought in talents such as Jess Moskaluke and The Sheepdogs for a good cause.

"Partnered up with the Regina Food Bank, our goal is to have a good chunk of the net proceeds from the event to be able to donate to the food bank at a time when there is a lot of food insecurity in our province," Morrison said.

The Krugo app is available at the Apple app store and Google Play. More information can also be found on their website
