The City of Moose Jaw is hoping to build our urban forest in our new subdivisions.  To do this, they're offering two free trees to quailify residents through their Boulevard Tree Program.

"If you take a look at all the new housing in Sunningdale or West Heath on South Hill, they're brand new areas, a lot of new construction, and there's no urban forest there, so this is our way of trying to help the community build an urban forest," says parks gardner Daily Lennox

Lennox says you have until March 31st to get your order into the city, "Right now we'd like them both on the front yard, and we know in some areas they can't do that because just aren't big enough, so they can at least plant one in the front yard and one in the back yard."

Residents in the parts of Sunningdale, Victoria Heights, Westmore, Westheath, Westmount and the 200 blocks of Iroquois and Lillooet Street East are eligiable.  Call the city at 694-4447 to find out if you qualify.
