Freezing rain and snow will hit southern Saskatchewan today as a weather system moves through from southwest to northeast.

Be prepared for some icy conditions as a freezing rain warning has been issued by Environment Canada for the better part of southern Saskatchewan.

Moose Jaw, Assiniboia, Regina, Fort Qu’Appelle, Watrous, Kindersley, Saskatoon, the Battlefords, Estevan, Weyburn, Moosomin, and Carlyle are all under the warning. The warning has been lifted for the southwest.

Freezing rain is expected to last for the morning with snow to follow. That combination will make travelling local highways tricky at best. Caution is advised.
