The Moose Jaw Generals travelled to Wilcox on Wednesday night to face the Saskatchewan Midget AAA Hockey League’s top team and it didn’t go well for the young squad.

The Generals lost 12-0 to the first place Notre Dame Hounds, surrendering four goals in the first, five in the second and three in the third.

Rookie goalie Ethan Hein got the start for the Generals and allowed nine goals on 30 shots over two periods. Jake Davidson came in for the third and was beat three times on 21 shots in the frame.

Notre Dame’s Luke Mylymok led the offence with three goals and five points, while Cordel Larson had a goal and four points. Nolan Renwick, Ethan Ernst, Coalson Wolford and Avery Winslow all finished with three points each in the win.

Moose Jaw fired just 14 shots on Hounds goalie Riley Kohonick in the loss.

The Generals sit at 6-15-2-3 with the loss, while the Hounds have lost just once in regulation this season to sit in top spot overall in the league.

It’s a quick turnaround for the Generals as they will look to shake-off this loss before heading to Swift Current to face the Legionnaires on Friday night.
